The Samyang MF 14 mm F/2.8 is an ultra-wide-angle manual-focus prime designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras (in this case Canon RF and Nikon Z mounts) that offers a dramatic 115.7° field of view. It features a sophisticated optical design of 14 elements in 10 groups including aspherical, hybrid aspherical, ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) and HR (High Refractive Index) elements for excellent sharpness and minimal aberrations. The lens also has a weather-sealed metal body, built-in petal-shaped hood, and rear gel-filter holder (rather than traditional front screw thread) for its ultra-wide form factor. Being manual focus only, it suits landscape, architecture, astrophotography and wide environmental scenes where focus precision and large coverage matter.
